ABOUT SUBURBAN

Suburban Hospital is a community based, not-for-profit hospital that has served Montgomery County and the surrounding area for more than 75 years. In 2009, Suburban became a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine and for more than 40 years the hospital has been the designated trauma center for Montgomery County. Its affiliation with many local healthcare organizations and its close proximity to the National Institutes of Health helps ensure that patients have access to the best care available.

Earlier this year, Suburban Hospital completed its campus enhancement project that included a 300,000-square-foot clinical addition with all-private patient rooms, 14 new high-tech operating rooms with hybrid and robotic technology, two interventional cardiovascular labs, an on-site medical office pavilion for specialty care, and a patient and family resource center. Additional enhancements include a new hospital entrance and lobby connecting to the existing building through a light-filled concourse, the Marriott Education and Conference Center, an on-site parking garage, and improved traffic flow and pedestrian access to the campus.

These enhancements empower Suburban Hospital to continue to provide advanced medical services and the flexibility to embrace emerging clinical needs- in a community-based setting offering personalized and comfortable patient-and-family centered care.
